Create a one-of-a-kind ornament for your holiday tree — or make a thoughtful handmade gift for someone special! In this beginner-friendly workshop, mixed-media artist Michelle Werl will guide guests through transforming a 4×6-inch wooden ornament into a festive piece of art using colorful collage papers, paint, and playful details.

Explore layering colors, shapes, and textures to create a holiday design that reflects your own style, then finish your ornament with a decorative beaded wire hanger. Keep it as a special holiday keepsake or gift it to a teacher, friend, hostess, or family member.

No experience or advance preparation is needed — just come ready to play, experiment, and create!

Some things to note…

  • A $20 deposit is required at registration to hold your spot. This deposit is applied directly toward the cost of your project. The remaining balance is due at the event.

  • Due to the nature of our workshops and the time needed to complete each project, we ask that you arrive 5–10 minutes early. We begin on time!

  • We provide all the materials and tools you'll need — just show up ready to create!

  • You're welcome to bring snacks and your own beverages.

  • We recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting a little messy, depending on the workshop.

  • We welcome crafters of all ages! Our daytime workshops have a minimum age requirement of 8 years old, unless otherwise noted in the individual listing. Please note that evening workshops (after 6pm) are 18+ unless it is a private event.

  • You're welcome to bring friends or reserve an entire table for your group at any of our regular workshops. We also offer private workshop experiences — perfect for birthdays, bachelorette parties, team outings, and other special occasions. Get in touch to learn more and check availability.
